Der Exekutivausschuss für Verhaltensgesundheit ist im Gesetz zur Reform und Investition in die Verhaltensgesundheit (Behavioral Health Reform and Investment Act) verankert. Seine Hauptaufgabe besteht darin, die Regionen für Verhaltensgesundheit festzulegen, regionale Pläne zu prüfen und zu genehmigen, Finanzierungsstrategien und -strukturen auf Grundlage der genehmigten regionalen Pläne zu entwickeln, die Umsetzung und die Ergebnisse der regionalen Pläne zu überwachen und Mängel sowie Umsetzungsprobleme zu beheben. Außerdem entwickelt er eine Projektmanagementstrategie, die von einem Projektmanager der Gesundheitsbehörde (Health Care Authority, HCA) geleitet wird. Der Ausschuss tagt mindestens vierteljährlich und unterliegt dem Gesetz über öffentliche Sitzungen (Open Meetings Act). Er erstattet dem Finanzausschuss des Parlaments vierteljährlich Bericht über den Umsetzungsstand der regionalen Pläne.

The New Mexico Health Care Authority and the Administrative Office of the Courts announce the next meeting of the Executive Committee established under the Behavioral Health Reform and Investment Act, Senate Bill 3 (SB3, 2025). This Committee oversees the ongoing implementation of SB3, 2025—including statewide coordination, regional planning, and progress toward building a stronger behavioral health system. It brings together leaders from all three branches of government, along with community partners, to support a more responsive and equitable system of care. Public participation is encouraged as we continue this work on behalf of all New Mexicans.
